Organisation<\/h2>\n

Start well in advance. Fill a few boxes every day. Pack each room separately and use separate boxes for each room. This will come in handy when you start unpacking again.<\/p>\n

Numbering<\/h2>\n

Give each box a number. Indicate to which room the box should be taken. Make a list of the boxes for each room and also note the total number of boxes. It is a good idea to leave some space on the list for any comments and to mention valuables.<\/p>\n

Filling material<\/h2>\n

Fill incomplete boxes with filling material so that the contents of the box cannot shift. Make sure you have enough filling material.<\/p>\n

Tidy<\/h2>\n

Close all boxes well and glue them shut. Make sure the boxes can bear the weight.<\/p>\n

Filling boxes<\/h2>\n

Put heavier items at the bottom of a box and lighter items at the top. Try not to make the boxes too heavy (max. 10 kg). A rule of thumb: the heavier the objects, the smaller the box should be.<\/p>\n

Key box<\/h2>\n

Put all keys, assembly instructions and overview lists in a separate key box. This allows you to start unpacking in an organised way.
\nSPECIAL ITEMS<\/p>\n

Desk drawers<\/h2>\n

Do not put too much into this. Too much can cause damage. Remove breakable objects and objects that may leak.<\/p>\n

Glass and tableware<\/h2>\n

Wrap glassware, cups and plates separately in paper and put them in (small) boxes. Use clothes or towels to protect them from shocks. The heavier items (plates) should be placed at the bottom of the box. Put very fragile glassware (wine glasses) upright in the box. Indicate on the boxes that they contain breakable items.<\/p>\n

Clocks<\/h2>\n

Remove or secure the pendulum from large clocks. Large, upright clocks should be wrapped by an expert.<\/p>\n

Carpets and curtains<\/h2>\n

Pack rugs in neat boxes. Remove curtains from the rails and put them in neat boxes or desk drawers.<\/p>\n

Flammable goods<\/h2>\n

Flammable or highly flammable liquids and aerosols must not be packed. Changes in temperature and pressure can cause leakage or even explosion. If you pack them and they injure people or cause damage to your belongings, you are responsible for this.<\/p>\n

Lamps<\/h2>\n

Remove the lamp itself and the lampshade. Roll up the cord. Do not use newspaper but kitchen roll paper to wrap the lampshade. Place them upright in the box. Decorative buttons, etc. should be glued to the inside of the box containing the lampshade.<\/p>\n

Medicines<\/h2>\n

Seal the medicine boxes with adhesive tape. Put them in small boxes. If you need medication, you must provide it on your moving day.<\/p>\n

Mirrors and paintings<\/h2>\n

Inform your mover about valuable paintings. Pack mirrors, frames and paintings and place them on their side in heavy, solid boxes. Large mirrors are packed in special boxes.<\/p>\n

Electronics (PC, video and hi-fi)<\/h2>\n

Pack valuable electronic devices in their original packaging if you still have it. Otherwise, use boxes and put protective padding in them. Wrap a blanket or sheet around the object and place it in the box. Put extra padding in the box so that the computer\/video recorder is secure. Pack cords separately and indicate what they are for. Put them in a plastic bag.<\/p>\n

Tools<\/h2>\n

Remove fuels from tools. Do not move flammable materials! Steek ze in kleine, sterke dozen. Pack valuable materials separately.<\/p>\n

Cars and motorbikes<\/h2>\n

Petrol tanks of cars and motorbikes should be almost empty when transported by removal van. Batteries must be disconnected.[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”middle” el_class=”pt-30″][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n
